Our users — employees in Industrial and Construction environments — access delicious water and flavoredbeverage through a quick, contactless, mobile-first process. Users get access to custom hydration andenvironmental-impact data, so they know the more they drink with Kadeya, the healthier they, and the restof the planet, will be.
About You
We are looking for a smart, driven, creative individual, passionate about building products from scratch. You will oversee the development of Kadeya software platform – user app and webapp, subscriptions, rewards programs, mobile payments, data gathering, data visualization and the back end to support all these features.
We also want to build a team around this individual that will grow our product and processes over the years.
You will report to the Chief Product Officer with daily interaction with the CEO, the business team, hardware engineers, UX lead, and graphic designers as we build and iterate on our first broad availability webapp and as we expand data collection over the next year from one IoT station to dozens in the field, expanding our reach to thousands of users.
Kadeya requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. We’re a startup, so teamwork, ability and desire to learn, being proactive, and passion for sustainability are more important than any specific skill set. With Kadeya, the ocean is the limit!
Responsibilities
- Ownership of the Software Product
- Manage the execution of the Software Roadmap according to Product Requirements
- Create SW Design Specifications based on Business Product Requirement
- Define the software architecture and the related tech stack
- Define the outsourcing strategy and the choice of partners depending on disciplines
- Manage day-to-day activities with outsource development companies
- Ensure that sprints and releases are executed according to plan
- Responsible for the SW dev budget
- Responsible for the quality of the Software
- Define best practices, coding standards, tools and Dev Ops while the team grows
Qualifications
- 5+ years demonstrated experience in frontend and back end development
- 5+ years leading software teams in a startup dynamic environment
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment as we iterate the app to achieve product/market fit
- Prefers the variety and autonomy of a start-up environment to the clearly defined roles of the corporate world
- A self-starter who can anticipate, define, execute, and follow-up on complex tasks without micromanagement
- Someone who relishes problem solving and optimizing results
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple milestones and projects efficiently
- Understanding of design principles—from the interface to the code— and SEO
- Experience developing REST APIs
- Experience with Node.js and React.js
- Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL or other SQL
- Experience managing outsourced engineers and agencies
- Excellent communication skills, especially with distributed technical and business teams
- Studies in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
